Thrive Business Strategies Inc. is dedicated to working with successful business owners who want to implement powerful, incremental growth strategies for their business. Thrive keeps the owner focused on implementing these powerful strategies until their goals are attained! Through simple techniques that encourage them to work "ON" their business, they reach goals they never thought possible!

About the founder: Cindy Piva, B. Comm., LPBC.

Founder and President of Thrive Business Strategies and Licensed Professional Business Coach, Cindy has an extensive and successful business background, which includes developing, building, owning and operating a golf course for over 20 years. She also has a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a major in marketing from UBC.

She is a proud member of the Professional Business Coaches Alliance, an organization made FOR Business Coaches BY Business Coaches. As a result, she stays current with all dynamic business tools and strategies available.

Born and raised in Kamloops, BC, Canada, Cindy knows it’s important to give back to the city she grew up in. Thus she is on the Board of Directors for Kamloops West Rotary, is a 2011 Marketing Strategy Course Industry Advisor at Thompson Rivers University, belongs to the Kamloops Chamber of Commerce, and is on the leadership team of a local chapter of Business Networking International.

• Graduated from UBC (University of British Columbia, Vancouver BC) with a Bachelor of Commerce Degree (a 5 year business degree) majoring in marketing.
• Was hired by a large retail company in Vancouver through on-campus recruiting as a sales rep and worked there for 3 years.
• Moved back to Kamloops to help build Pineridge Golf Course on a family farm.
• Prepared a feasibility study, secured a large loan, hired builders, built the golf course and the clubhouse, and opened the golf course for business, all within 1 1/2 years.
• Was owner and General Manager of Pineridge Golf Course for over 19 years before successfully selling it.
• Managing the Golf Course also included managing a licensed restaurant, a retail golf shop, a special event venue, and all the administration and human resources that went along with running the golf course.
• Managed over 100 tournaments and created and managed special events and charity tournaments every season.
• Also created and managed a successful weekly men's and ladies night throughout each golf season.
• Became very interested in business coaching, doing significant research, then attained her LPBC (Licenced Professional Business Coaching status) through the Professional Business Coaches Alliance, which is an organization that upholds the highest standards and ethics for business coaches.
• Has been a successful Professional Business Coach ever since, helping clients implement powerful business strategies that enable them to achieve their goals.
• Is a Rotary member, and a Director on the Board of Kamloops West Rotary.
• Is on the leadership team for the local BNI (Business Networking International), and a member of the Kamloops Chamber of Commerce.
• Is a Certified Extended DISC Analyzer, a Certified Guerrilla Marketing Coach, a Certified Sales and Marketing Trainer for ClientBuilder Sales and Marketing, and a Dale Carnegie Graduate.
